Yes, I eat chocolate cake with milk

Before I get to the cake, I must back up.  After I got to work I was finally ready for breakfast.

This was my first time trying a Clif Kid Z Bar.  They are really good.  The kiddos love chocolate brownie so I thought I would try the honey graham.  It is chewy, sweet and filling.  I absolutely love it and will defintely will have this again.

So it was my gym time over the lunch hour.  We did cardio circuits.  We started off on the spin bike to warm up.  Then we did 3 different circuits of cardio workout.  I ended up being one hot mess by the time we were done.  It felt great.

When I got back to work it was time for lunch.

Chocolatey Oats in a Jar.  We have had this empty peanut butter jar in the cupboard for a week.  I keep forgetting to make overnight oats so I decided to make it for lunch today.  In the jar went:

  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 sliced banana
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit
  • 1 T cocoa powder

After I snapped the picture I added some granola.  This hit the spot.  Except when I was done I still wanted something sweet.  Hence the cake with milk.

Start with chocolate cake in a cup and milk.  Then you put the two together.

This is the only way that I eat chocolate cake.  In fact, if the cake is a day or two old it works the best.  This way it soaks up the milk.  I love, love, love this combination.  My dad got me started on this.  Most people think it is the craziest way to eat cake (including Hubby) but I love it.  Do you eat your chocolate cake this way?

So this is what my desk looks like at work:

Stacks and stacks of papers, files and 3 ring binders.  My boss left town until Monday so he had to make sure that I had plenty of work to do.  Nothing like not wanting to be at work when there is a mountain of papers needing to be gone through and something done with.  Yuck.

Chickie has her dance recital this weekend so all week it is practice at the auditorium.  So I am lucky that Hubby picks her up from school and we meet there.  Of course I was early and was bored out of my mind so I might as well take pictures, right?

Finally they arrived.  Thank goodness, I might have gone stir crazy in the car if I had to wait any longer for them.

Well the first practice for the recital is forever long.  Three hours, yep we were there for 3 hours.  The dance recital is usually only 1 1/2 hours.  So a 3 hour practice was not fun at all.  Nothing like wanting to jump off a side of a cliff after sitting with 100 girls and tap shoes on.  My head was ready to explode.  But the things you do for your children when you are a mother.
