Don’t forget to vote on today. As an American it is your given right to do this. For me, I feel as if I don’t vote, everyone that fought so hard for us enabling us this right is just thrown back in their faces. So many lives were lost so we could have this right. Please, as American, do your duty.
May you have a Safe and Happy Halloween. I am feeling sad as both of my kids have given up on trick or treating. I really enjoyed finding their customs and dressing them up. I was the lucky one though and stayed home every other year while Hubby took them out trick or treating and I always ended up with the warmer years than he did. Enjoy the time you have with our little ones because they grow up way too fast.

Yes, I have been gone and yes that is a picture of a canyon. Think of yourself of saying and it just keeps echoing, echoing and echoing because nothing has been happening with the blog. I have taken a break to decide in which direction, if any, I want this blog to go. I am getting close to my decision and will let you know very shortly on what I will do.
Something new that I have joined: Being a Bzzz Agent. Have you heard of this? It is surveys you take and then you are sent items to review and give your honest opinion of them. So I signed up a couple weeks ago and they sent me my first item to review.

Science Diet Ideal Balance Cat Food. I was super excited to check this out because I have never bought this kind of cat food before.
What I first noticed when I poured it into the bowl was how small the kiblets are. Normally they are twice the size, in any cat food that I have ever bought, which really made me very happy. I also noticed it did not have a terrible smell to it, let’s be honest pet food doesn’t always smell the best.
As you can tell, Tabby absolutely loved it. In fact, she ate the entire bowl. She doesn’t ever do that with her food. No matter how little or how much we give her. She also did not have any stomach issues with it. Normally when we introduce her to new food, she has stomach issues with it and we end up seeing it later in the day on the carpet.
I will definitely be switching to Science Diet Ideal Balance cat food for her.
Since October I have been running the Kiddos to school early three days per week. Bubba had to be there at 7:30 on Monday and Friday and Chickie had to be to school at 7:40 on Monday and Thursdays. The reason? They are both in jazz band for their respective schools. I felt like a chauffeur so many mornings. It throws a huge kink in my schedule in the morning. I am trying to get myself ready for work, trying to get some exercise in plus do some chores before we leave the house so adding in that I need to run the Kiddos to school, it did not make me happy.
So last week at night they had their concert.
Yes, Chickie plays the flute and she did a fantastic job of it.
Then it was Bubba’s turn with his group.
On top of that, there was a surprise, Bubba had a solo.
Let me tell you, I was so proud. I sat there the whole time during the entire concert with a huge grin on my face. All of the mornings that I was complaining to myself of having to run them to school early and it was throwing a wrench in my morning, it was all worth it. Nothing like making a mother proud. Sometimes you feel as a mother that your whole life is for your kids and you forget who you are but when you sit and see how well they do at something that you are a part of, making sure they get to the practices on time, it makes a mother proud.
So since it was 66° out when I got home from work, I decided to do my:
I needed to get in 50 minutes of Cardio so I thought it would be great to go for a run and that’s exactly what I did.
Yes, I only did 40 minutes worth because I hit the trail by our house:
Which ended up going out into the country. Well the weather may have been nice out but:
Yep, it was windy, windy and windy out as I was running. Let me tell you heading out wasn’t bad but coming back, it was a pain in the butt. Needless to say I didn’t run the fastest (more like walked) most of the way home.
When I got back I finished out the last 10 minutes with:
Two new flavors from Hamburger Helper. We decided on the Italian Cheesy Italian Beef. Let me tell you the kiddos loved it. They gobbled it up faster than I could snap a picture of it.
I guess it was a hit with them. Hubby and I thought it was just okay. Yes, boxed meals are not the best but it is one way that we are getting the kiddos to help with the cooking responsibilities. Bubba is now 13 and Chickie is 11 so we have decided it is a good time to get them going on cooking. When do you think it is a good time to start teaching your kids how to cook?
Now off to watch The Biggest Loser, have a great evening.
Have you heard of the website Foodzie Tasting Club?
I hadn’t either so I checked it out. Apparently every month they have a different box that you can buy, if you wish, that has a theme to it. There are date night, movie, night etc. theme boxes. So then they can come with pastas, candies, popcorn, nuts, etc. that goes with the theme. So I joined but in order to do so I received a free mini tasting box.
This box came with a Bag of Heart Candy from Papabubble in New York, NY and Almond Fleur Del Sel Toffee from Valerie Confections in Los Angeles, CA.
Oh my goodnes. These were all fantastic. The kiddos loved the toffee. Will definitely be checking out future tasting boxes from Foodzie. You may want to take a look yourself.
