Since it is summer time and all the fresh produce is around what better way than to make them be the main meal.
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1-1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 t. chicken bouillon granules
- 2 c. cubed cooked chicken
- 16 oz frozen cut green beans, cooked and drained or fresh green beans cooked
In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add the water, milk and bouillon. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add the chicken and heat through. Serve over beans. Sprinkle with paprika if desire.
