One to many bowls

This morning I got up and took the pups for a walk.  When I got back it was time to feed them.

Wait a minute.  We only have 3 dogs.  Why are there 3 bowls of food?

Yep, we have another dog in the house.  This is actually my folks/sister’s dog.  She is an Airdale which is a terrier breed.  They are going on vacation on Saturday and so when we were at their house for the 4th we brought her home with us.  She is a big dog but such a sweetie.  She will be visiting for probably 3 weeks.  A long time I know but my folks are taking the kiddos on vacation with them so in exchange for the kiddos I get the dog.  Doesn’t seem like a fair trade to me but what do you do?

On to breakfast.

Return of oatmeal.  I was actually craving oatmeal this morning and it has been a long time since I have had it.  In the mix:

  • 1/2 c. old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 c. almond milk
  • Then topped with strawberries
  • blueberries
  • chia seeds.

This absolutely hit the spot.  Considering as a kid I used to gag on oatmeal and now I crave it as an adult.  It is so true that your tastebuds change as you get older.

Along with my oatmeal I had a cup of joe made by this:

Keurig coffee pot.  I absolutely love this coffee pot.  Yes, we still have the big one because Hubby ends up drinking almost the whole pot before work and by the time I got to it, it was slimy and gross.  So Hubby got me this coffee pot for my birthday last week.  In 2 minutes I have a cup of coffee.  I love that.

Well, time to head off to work.  Hope you have a great Wednesday.
