REO Speedwagon

So last night Hubby and I had a date night.

Aren't we cute?

Thanks to my work, we scored 1 VIP pass

Yep, 1 VIP pass to REO Speedwagon.  This was a fantastic concert.

So with the VIP pass we received free food and 6 free drinks.

First plate

Hubby got the first plate and then he went back for a second plate, which we didn’t get a picture of but they also had corn, green beans, cake and some other things.  The food was really good.

Like I said earlier, we received 6 free drinks.  Free beer, yes please.  Must admit nothing like an outdoor concert and free beer.  Love, love, love.

This is a picture from our seats to the stage.  We had excellent seating thanks to the VIP pass, we were allowed to go in the morning to set up our seats otherwise if you had general admission you had to wait until the gates opened.  Just to let you know how excellent our seats were.

This is the crowd behind us.  In fact it is probably about taken 6 rows behind us.  Plus there was more seating off to the right and back.  If you look way to the back, you can see all of the bathrooms lined up.  Another perk with the VIP pass, private bathrooms so the lines weren’t that long.  Let me tell you the lines in the back, they were at least a 30 minute wait to get into the bathrooms.  Need more bathrooms next time.

The show was opened up by a local band, Saucy Jack.  They were really good.  They play songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s.  They played for 45 minutes.  They really got the crowd ready to party.

Next up was a bank by the name of HipKnosis.  I have never heard of this band but apparently most of them were raised here in town.  They played all of their own original music.  It wasn’t anything that I cared for but about 1/2 of the crowd enjoyed it.  They played for 45 minutes.

Then it was time for the main attraction.  REO Speedwagon.

This was an awesome concert.  REO Speedwagon sounded great and they put on one heck of a show.  Nothing like taking hubby and I back to high school.  Some of their songs were older but we knew most of them.  Which was great.  Defintely one of my favorites that the town has brought.

It was a great date night, great food, great drinks, great outdoor weather and great bands.
